Assertion

The COVID-19 vaccines prevent SARS-COV-2 infection and transmission.

Response

This claim has proven false on both counts. On August 5, 2021, Director Rochelle Walensky of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control first said that the vaccines were working exceptionally well, and then said that they don’t prevent COVID infection or transmission.

An example of just how ineffective the COVID-19 vaccines are is the country of Gilbraltar, whose citizens are 100% vaccinated. However, they cancelled all official 2021 Christmas celebrations and advised against holding or attending private social events for Christmas because of a “drastic” increase in Covid-19 case numbers in October and November.

Chart from Johns Hopkins compares “COVID” cases per million in Israel (green line) to the rate in India (dark line). Note that Israel is one of the most jabbed countries on earth, while India is one of the least.
